"I’ve NEVER actually sold any of my original comic stuff, keeping it sequestered away in a closet somewhere, but these odd strays get out, things I did for other people’s books or album covers and such, and those are the ones that just pile up on top of my scanner getting weird, black dust all over them. So this is the first of some art auctions I figure might clean things up a bit around here.

So this Scud page I did for Rob Schrab gets to be the first, and that’s fine, because Rob’s a monstrous man, and having this around is just a hideous reminder of that. Just having it near me gets me all clammy, thinking of the way he looks at you with those weird eyes of his."

If it's not too much trouble, I'm looking for a good to high-quality scan of the entire one-shot strip where Johnny tries to buy a "Frooty Pop", but a criminal kills the cashier before he can pay for it. I'd love to make icons out of... almost every panel, really, but I can't find the full strip online (just bits and pieces), and I'd hate to bend the spine of my copy of the DC just to get it. :\

I am looking to finish a tattoo I had started years ago. I have bought multiple copies of JTHM directors edition just to have them stolen, borrowed forever or lost. So, Jhonen's apparently planning to visit Australia in March, and I think he once said it was for a signing. Does anyone know where it's going to be at (assuming this is correct?)
I've got an Australian friend who's dying to see him, but she lives in Sydney and if it turns out he, say, is going to be visiting Perth then she needs to know soon as possible in order to make travel arrangements.

WELL. It seems that the confusing incident on Twitter has gotten people, well... Confused. But don't fret, Jhonen fans, because it wasn't he who killed his old account. (Here) Turns out it was some meat head named Keaton who stole Jhonen's name after he switched from JhnenVEE to JhonenV. Keaton says some stuff about it on his Twitter page, and Jhonen too on his new Twitter page.

Hopefully this'll clear things up.

Been a big fan of Mr V for a loooooonnng time, I first read Johnny in 1998, and I loved it.
I would say Jhonens work broadened my tastes and influences massively. I was going to stay at my soul crushing office job, but then I decided to hell with it I'm going to pursue art and animation because its what I love. I even got a few Jhonen inspired tattoos (if he saw them he would probably hate them tho XD)
If it wasn't for Jhonen and his creations I'd still be there. He.. saved.. *sniff* mah life, because I would have probably smashed my head in with the photocopier lid.

1. I absolutely loved the ending to Fillerbunny 3. Delusions while dying because, contrary to popular belief, gravity does effect you? Epic win.

3. They must have done some reeeeal weird shit to the voices on IZ because none of Jhonen's supposed voiced characters sounded anything like him. I've listened again and again but.... yeah. Weird.

Good to see Jhonen working on this-as it would be much cheaper to see and get things signed in my country, than fly to the US.
